Q : What are eyelash extensions made of? A: The eyelash extensions are made of synthetic fiber that mimics natural lashes with more length and thickness. Just like a natural lashes, each fiber starts thick at the base tapering to a thinner end. Q: How long do your eyelash extensions REALLY last, Jennifer? A: The original set can last for about 2 months.Your natural lashes shed after3 stages of growth . Because each eyelash extension is attached to one single lash, when the natural lash sheds, the extension goes with it. Touch ups are needed every 2 to 3 weeks to fill them in and keep them lush. Q: Does it hurt to get eyelash extensions applied AND is the adhesive safe to use around the eye? A: Most clients fall asleep during the process and the adhesive is the same adhesive that is used in sutureless wound closure. So yes, it is safe to use around the eyes and non irritating because the adhesive is NEVER applied the skin. Each eyelash extension is attached to ONE individual natural lash till a full set is acheived. Q: Can I use mascara on my eyelash extensions or on my bottom lashes? A: I put enough lashes on so mascara is not needed on the top. I recommend using mascara that is NOT waterproof on bottom lashes (or I can apply bottom lashes for you.) WATERPROOF MASCARA AND LIQUID EYELINER is like Kryptonite for eyelash extensions. Exponentially, the chemicals in mascara and liquid liner will weaken the adhesive I use for applying eyelash extensions. This may mean that your touch up appointments will be more frequent to maintain the original fullness of the eyelash extensions. Q: How long does the procedure take? A: It takes between one and two hours for a full set but if more lashes are applied it will take more time. The affect that is acheived is well worth the wait!
